Michael Maldonado
Type	Side Character
DLC	Phantom Liberty

Michael Maldonado is a techie in Dogtown and the father of Eric Maldonado, a Valentino. He hires V through Mr. Hands to make his testimony against his own son disappear.

Biography

---

Mr. Hands sums Michael up in the journal: he has been blessed with two things, a wayward son and endless trouble. Michael runs a business he never seems to leave, and he is willing to pay surprisingly well. As Hands puts it, those with the least stand to lose the most.

Michael meets V beneath the Needle. He says that the District Attorney, Georgina Zembinsky, and her partner, Hank Davis, tortured him into testifying against Eric. The DA tells a different story: the testimony is true, and Michael was paid for it.

Endings

---

If V lets Georgina keep the testimony with Michael's name removed, Michael is unhappy and refuses to pay, until V demands the money in return for silence. If V makes her delete it, Michael is happy and pays.

Mr. Hands reports the outcome in his own dry way. If the testimony is deleted, Michael has nothing but praise for V. If only his name is hidden, Hands notes that Michael expected things to turn out differently, and since Michael never gave the full details of the matter, that is a cross Michael must bear himself.
