Off the Leash is a side job of Kerry Eurodyne's storyline, after I Don't Wanna Hear It. Kerry invites V to Dark Matter, an exclusive club in Japantown. Depending on how things went with Us Cracks, V arrives at a launch party or an empty club, and then talks with Kerry about his life on the balcony.
Story
People Change
Johnny is thoughtful in the journal. People do change, he says, and Kerry did: he reached a crossroads, and Johnny can see his rocker's heart pushing him the right way. The problem is that Kerry has changed, but the city has not, and Kerry knows it.
At Dark Matter, a bouncer blocks the lift and claims it is out of order, until V says V is Kerry's guest.
The Party or the Empty Club
If Kerry and Us Cracks made peace, a promotional event is in full swing in the lounge, packed with fans and journalists. An animated video about Us Cracks and Kerry plays, then the screen rises and the band and Kerry announce a new single together. Kerry waves V over, puts an arm on V's shoulder and introduces V to the press as his right hand. A journalist asks what it is like to hang out with Kerry, and V can answer. Kerry also introduces V to his old friend Spector Cheng, who promises V a friends and family discount.
If they never made peace, Kerry calls to say that Us Cracks broke their promise not to cover his song User Friendly, and that the band wants a restraining order against him. The club is almost empty. Kerry has closed it.
The Balcony
Kerry leads V to the balcony, and they talk about his life and career. If V hears him out, Kerry admits he has not been honest with V about Us Cracks, and explains what was really troubling him. At the end, V can kiss Kerry. Afterwards, Kerry stays on the roof a while to think, and V takes the lift down and leaves the club.
Off the Leash Map Location and Walkthrough
Off the Leash map location:
- Answer Kerry's call after I Don't Wanna Hear It.
- Go to Dark Matter in Japantown and talk to the bouncer. Say V is Kerry's guest.
- Look for Kerry.
- If there is a party, wait for Kerry, walk through the fans to him, and talk to the journalists if desired.
- Talk to Kerry, then follow him to the balcony.
- Talk to Kerry and hear him out.
- Take the lift down and leave the club.

Choices
Kerry's Romance
A masculine V can kiss Kerry on the balcony after showing understanding for his troubles. This is not required for the romance, which can still start in Boat Drinks. A feminine V can try to kiss him, but he politely declines, as he prefers men.
The Party
Whether the party takes place depends on whether Kerry and Us Cracks made peace in I Don't Wanna Hear It.
Rewards
After the job, Dark Matter's lounge floor opens to V, and joytoys appear there once Us Cracks have left.

- Kerry introduces Spector Cheng as an old friend he met walking in Memphis, off Beale, probably a nod to the song Walking in Memphis.
