Side Jobs
Side jobs are the longer stories of Night City outside the main plot. They follow the people V meets along the way, from romances with Judy Álvarez, Panam Palmer, Kerry Eurodyne and River Ward, to old friends like Mama Welles and strange characters met on the street, such as a talking vending machine or a monk who sells meditation. Some chains run over many jobs, like Claire Russell's street races, Coach Fred's boxing fights or the runaway cabs of Delamain. Others are a single short scene with a free car or an Iconic weapon at the end. Many side jobs change how the story ends: Panam's open the Aldecaldo ending, and Johnny and Rogue's open another. Each page below has a walkthrough, a map and the choices that matter.

Stories and Romances
Four chains of side jobs can lead to a romance. Judy Álvarez's story runs from Both Sides, Now through Ex-Factor and Talkin' 'bout a Revolution to Pisces and Pyramid Song, and her romance is open to a feminine V. Panam Palmer's runs through Riders on the Storm, With a Little Help from My Friends and Queen of the Highway, and is open to a masculine V. Kerry Eurodyne's starts with Holdin' On and ends with Boat Drinks, for a masculine V. River Ward's runs from I Fought the Law and The Hunt to Following the River, for a feminine V.
Once a romance has begun, I Really Want to Stay at Your House lets V invite the partner over to any of V's apartments.
Johnny and Samurai
Johnny Silverhand has his own side jobs. Chippin' In sends Johnny and Rogue Amendiares after Adam Smasher, the man who killed Johnny, and inside it A Cool Metal Fire lets Johnny take over V's body for a night. Blistering Love sends V on a date with Rogue. Holdin' On, Second Conflict and A Like Supreme bring the band Samurai back together for one last gig, with Johnny on stage in V's body. These jobs also open one of the endings in Nocturne Op55N1.
Families and Old Friends
Mama Welles holds an ofrenda for Jackie in Heroes, and later jobs bring back people from the early days of the story. Kirk Sawyer drags a Streetkid V into trouble in Small Man, Big Mouth. Brendan, the talking vending machine of Japantown, has a short story of his own, from I Can See Clearly Now to Coin Operated Boy. Jefferson and Elizabeth Peralez ask V to look into a break in at their penthouse in Dream On, and the case turns into proof that someone is tampering with their lives. Mitch Anderson takes V into the Badlands for Scorpion's farewell in I'll Fly Away.
Races, Fights and Cars
Claire Russell, the bartender of the Afterlife, races the streets in The Beast In Me, from City Center through the Badlands and Santo Domingo to the championship. Coach Fred sends V into the ring against the champions of each district in Beat on the Brat. Delamain, the AI that runs a taxi company, needs help with its runaway cabs in Tune Up, Epistrophy and Don't Lose Your Mind. Many smaller jobs end with a free car, from the Gran Butte in Dressed to Kill to the Murkmobile hidden in a mine.
Fixers' Thanks
When V finishes every gig of a fixer, the fixer gets in touch one last time with a reward. Regina Jones sends V an implant in Last Call, Wakako Okada a katana in Professional Widow, Padre a pistol in God Bless This Mess, El Capitan a shotgun in Ride Captain Ride, Dino Dinovic a car in Gas Gas Gas and Dakota Smith a truck in Every Grain of Sand. Mr. Hands closes his Dogtown run in Hi Ho Silver Lining.
Phantom Liberty
The expansion adds side jobs of its own in Dogtown, from the vehicle contracts of El Capitan in Push It to the Limit and Just Another Story to the tarot murals of Tomorrow Never Knows. Several of them follow up gigs: a thank you from Bill Mitchell, a gun from Demir Hasan, or a trap set by Nele Springer.
Notes
Side jobs are best finished before Nocturne Op55N1, as meeting Hanako at Embers locks the open world until the ending. Some can be lost earlier: I'll Fly Away closes after Queen of the Highway, and Love Rollercoaster disappears after Double Life.
