Smoking Kills is a reported crime in The Glen, Heywood. A well known politician, Gabriel Abatangelo, grew a conscience late in life and started talking. Someone hired a killer to silence him, and his habit of a cigarette on the roof after each visit to a braindance den made the job easy.
Story
Breathe Easy
The journal notes that smoking used to have a bad name, but smokers can breathe easy these days. Lung cancer? Buy a new lung. Throat cancer? Buy a new throat. Yet the habit can still be deadly. If someone nasty is keeping track of when and where a person steps out for a smoke, it might have been better to quit after all.
The Contract
A shard holds the contract, sent to a killer called Tracy. The target is a man who knows too much and talks too much. Apparently he is doing it out of "moral concern", a strange crisis for someone who cheated people his whole life. His name is Gabriel Abatangelo, a well known politician. The writer advises a remote hit. This time the NCPD will have to investigate for real, so Tracy must stay off the cameras. Gabriel is a regular at a braindance den on Market Street, and after each session he goes up to the roof to smoke. A shot from there should be easy, and the money is good.
