The Glen is the government district of Heywood, home to City Hall, the Hall of Justice and a heavy police presence. It is one of the safest parts of the south side. Embers and El Coyote Cojo are among its bars. V can rent an apartment here.
History
During the rebuilding after the Fourth Corporate War, the city council made a deal with the corporations to fund the Glen as the new seat of government. Its boundaries took in parts of South Night City, the old university district and Little Asia.
By the 2040s the new City Hall and Hall of Justice were open, and megabuildings rose to house people displaced by the war.
Some decades ago the city council begged the corporations to help rebuild Night City. The Glen became the home of the new City Hall, the seat of the mayor.

Life in The Glen
The Glen is surrounded by rough neighbourhoods but stays among the safest districts in the city, thanks to the constant presence of the police and private security.
Megabuilding H3 is home to many of its residents.
Millions of eddies have been spent on its streets, and it feels safer and more orderly than most districts. Reconciliation Park offers some fresh air among the elegant buildings. A few blocks away from that order, the buildings are run down and the Valentinos and 6th Street watch the streets. Such a sharp divide so close to City Hall says a lot about how the city is run.
The View is a shopping mall between Corpo Plaza and the Glen, with views over the park and the port. It sells top quality technology, weapons and clothes, and its restaurants are among the finest in the area.
