Stefan is a street dealer who sells braindances near the Cherry Blossom Market in Japantown. He boasts of having the rawest braindances in Night City.

Biography

Stefan stands on a yellow line by the Cherry Blossom Market fast travel point, selling recordings that never reach the shops. He sells V an unlabelled braindance, then asks for more money to use a compatible wreath that he keeps in the building behind him. The recording is in an older format, so it will not run on V's own gear.

It is a trap. Once V plugs into Stefan's rig, V passes out and wakes in a Scavenger hideout, stripped of gear, in the same bathroom where V and Jackie found Sandra Dorsett in The Rescue. After escaping, V can track Stefan down and confront him.

Stefan does not work alone. Messages in the Scavenger hideout show a gang that harvests the implants of the people Stefan sends them, and some of the best parts on its lists are set aside for him: a Yonaguni Breithorn and a pair of Quail SuperKidneys "carved out for Stefan". Another message asks him to bring in something special for a woman who once stormed a Scavenger hideout alongside a Latino partner and shot half the crew.
