Through Pain to Heaven

Through Pain to Heaven
Type	Main Job

Through Pain to Heaven is the Phantom Liberty main job that follows V's decision to hand Songbird over to Solomon Reed. With Songbird gone, the Relic falls silent, and V waits for Reed to get in touch about the cure he promised. The job ends at a CHOOH2 station, and the story continues in Who Wants to Live Forever.

Story

---

Silence

For the first time in a long while, Johnny feels at peace. In the journal he says that every time he thinks about his first meeting with Songbird, he feels sick. When she made him fade out, it felt worse than death, and he claims to be an expert on that. Now there is nothing, not a sound or an echo, as if she is very far away. It is just the two of them again, and he wonders for how long.

Reed

V has to find something to do until Reed makes contact. When he does, he asks V to meet him at a CHOOH2 station. V talks with Reed there about what comes next, and afterwards talks with Johnny.
