Ticking Time Bomb makes V's operating system into a bomb. Activating Berserk, a Sandevistan or Overclock starts a charge that detonates as an EMP a moment later, stunning everything nearby and damaging it according to how much chrome V is carrying. It sits at the top of the Technical Ability tree and needs more than one perk bought first. It is the reward for a fully chromed build.

The blast scales with the quantity and the quality of the implants in V's body, which makes it the only effect in the game that reads a whole loadout as a damage number.

The charge is also a shield. While the EMP is building, incoming damage is halved, so the three seconds that would normally be the most exposed part of activating an ability become the safest.

How to Unlock Ticking Time Bomb

It sits behind the Legend gate of the Technical Ability tree and is unusual in needing more than one perk ahead of it. Pyromania and License To Chrome both come first.

The build is a fully chromed Technical Ability build running an operating system implant, which means a Sandevistan, Berserk or a cyberdeck with Overclock.

Buy it as the Legend gate opens, once Pyromania and License To Chrome are both fully in place. The blast scales with the quantity and quality of the implants V carries, so this perk is bought last, after the body is as full of chrome as capacity allows.

Operating system implants are what trigger it, and Overclock is the netrunner mode from the same slot group.

Stun opens enemies to finishers, which the Body and Reflexes trees both reward.
