The Ash of War: Charge Forth is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Quality affinity and the Charge Forth skill. It is a mid-game find in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Charge Forth readies the weapon at the hip and rushes forward, carrying the momentum into a powerful thrust. Holding the button extends the charge to cover a much greater distance, and the run can be steered toward the target. The attack deals pierce damage and good stance damage, and the final thrust knocks human-sized enemies back. It suits Strength and Dexterity builds using spears, halberds and lances who want a strong gap closer.
Stats
It grants the Quality affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Heavy, Keen, Fire, Flame Art, Lightning, Sacred, Magic, Cold, Poison, Blood or Occult. The skill costs 16 FP and can be charged. It fits Heavy Thrusting Sword, Twinblade, Spear, Great Spear, Halberd and Thrusting Shield.
How to Get Ash of War: Charge Forth Guide
- Ash of War: Charge Forth drops from a Teardrop Scarab clinging to the underside of a broken stone arch west-northwest of the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes.
- Land Squirts gather below the arch, and the scarab cannot be locked on to, so it has to be shot down with a manually aimed bow.

Skill
Use it to close distance on fleeing or ranged enemies, or to hit a target the moment it stands up after a critical hit. Only the final thrust can be parried, and holding the charge mainly adds range. The Spear Talisman boosts it when the thrust lands as a counter hit.
