The Ash of War: Through and Through is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Standard affinity and the Through and Through skill. It becomes available in the middle of a run.
Through and Through takes an oblique stance with the greatbow, then twists the bowstring to fire a mighty great arrow that pierces through every enemy in its path. The shot hits noticeably harder than a normal greatbow shot and deals pierce damage. Lined-up enemies all take the full hit, which makes it excellent in corridors and against formations. It suits greatbow archers who want more power and range from each arrow.

It grants the Standard affinity. The skill costs no FP. It fits Greatbow.
How to Get Ash of War: Through and Through Guide
- Dropped by an invisible Teardrop Scarab that loops around northwest of the main entrance to Volcano Manor on Mt. Gelmir.
- It follows a set path, so waiting for its glowing footprints to approach and striking then is the easiest method.
- Once obtained, it can be duplicated by trading Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

Skill
The stance costs no FP; each shot fired from it costs FP and a large amount of stamina. Light attack fires from the first arrow slot and strong attack from the second. Holding the stance between shots fires faster but stops stamina recovery, so it is best used in short bursts. Activating it before aiming or shooting is more reliable than switching into it mid-shot.
