The Golem Greatbow is a Greatbow in Elden Ring. It carries the highest physical attack of any greatbow in the game.

When to Use It

Early game. It is found around Limgrave, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.

Why Players Pick It

Hardest hitter in the class at +0 and at max: the highest physical attack rating (AR) of any bow-family weapon in the game. Cost: heaviest greatbow at 14.5 and the steepest Str at 24. Its real advantage is timing: it farms from Golem archers as early as the Limgrave Tower Bridge and outside Castle Morne, so a Str build can carry it from very early.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at E, so Str is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 24 and Dex 18 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Greatbow of black stone crafted by a civilization now gone to ruin. Weapon of the Guardian Golem. Extremely heavy, this greatbow requires enormous strength just to draw, suggesting it was not designed for human use.
