Black Knight Edredd is a field boss in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Black Knight Edredd is a winged knight of Messmer's army who guards the upper level of the Fort of Reprimand in Scadu Altus. He fights with a double-ended sword and short bursts of flight. His arena has no fog wall, so the player can step in and out of the fight. He is fast but easy to stagger.
Lore
Edredd wears the black, gold-etched armor of Messmer's Black Knights. Golden wings of crucible power carry him through the air. He fights with a double-ended sword.
The Black Knights were the main force of Messmer's army, led first by Andreas, a man with command over the powers of the Crucible. They held to their crusade with iron conviction and never yielded or doubted their purpose.

Attacks
- Spinning Soaring Blade Slash: he flies at the player from afar with spinning blades. A roll toward him avoids it and opens a counter.
- Twinblade swings: fast but predictable blade strings. Dodging and countering after each string works best.
- Winged strikes: short flights that speed up his attacks. Keeping close limits them.

- Roll toward him when he opens with the soaring blade slash.
- Stay close and keep pressure on him with heavy attacks, since he staggers easily.
- Counter quickly in the brief gap after each attack string.
- Manage stamina carefully, because the fight demands constant dodging.
