The Clawmark Seal is a Sacred Seal in Elden Ring. It carries the highest physical attack of any sacred seal in the game.
When to Use It
Mid game. It is found around Caelid, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.
Why Players Pick It
The one seal a Strength character can use as more than a stat stick: 's class page names Clawmark and Frenzied Flame as the only two seals where non-Faith attributes actually raise Incantation Scaling, and local data gives it the class-high 31 physical at +0 with D Strength scaling. Requirement is only 4 Str / 10 Fai, plus 10% to bestial incantations, and it is free from Gurranq for one Deathroot. Warns it is a hybrid, so heals and weapon buffs read only its Faith half.
Upgrades
Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.
Build
Its scaling runs Str at D and Fai at D, so Str and Fai are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 4 and Fai 10 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also enhances bestial incantations by 10% on its own, with no infusion needed.
Notes
Sacred seal granted by Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman. A rare trinket which allows incantations to be scaled with strength. The claw mark represents Gurranq's wrath. Enhances bestial incantations learned from Gurranq.
How to Get Clawmark Seal Guide
- Received after feeding 1 Deathroot to Gurranq, Beast Clergyman inside the Bestial Sanctum located in Caelid.
