The Crystal Release is a Crystalian sorcery in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find.
Crystal Release is a sorcery of the mysterious Crystalians, used by high-ranking adepts among them and sometimes called the Crystal Sun. The caster hunches over while a blue aura raises stagger resistance, then lifts both arms to shatter a mass of crystal and rain shards over a wide area around them, with the shards closest to the caster hitting hardest. The long opening is the risky part, although the aura makes the caster harder to interrupt until the arms go up. The Crystal Staff and Rotten Crystal Staff both boost it, which makes it a natural pick for crystal-focused sorcerers who want an area attack against groups surrounding them.
Effect
Creates a mass of crystal above the caster, then shatters it to rain crystal shards over a wide area around them; the caster resists staggering during the first part of the cast. Each cast costs 34 FP and takes up one memory slot.

Dropped by the pair of Crystalian bosses at the end of the Academy Crystal Cave in Liurnia of the Lakes.
