The Explosive Ghostflame is a Death sorcery in Elden Ring. It is found in the Consecrated Snowfield, near the end of a run.
Explosive Ghostflame is a sorcery of the servants of Death, recalling the time before the Erdtree when death was burned in ghostflame and the Deathbirds kept that fire. The caster strikes the ground to set off a ghostflame explosion that deals magic damage and heavy frostbite buildup, then leaves lingering flames that keep building frostbite on anything standing in them. It works as a close-range area attack, pushing frostbite onto groups or onto bosses that stay near the caster. The Prince of Death's Staff boosts its attack power, so it fits death sorcery and frost builds that fight from close quarters.
Effect
Strikes the ground with the staff to trigger a ghostflame explosion that deals magic damage, builds up frostbite and leaves patches of burning ghostflame on the ground. Each cast costs 36 FP and 45 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
