The Ancient Death Rancor is a Death sorcery in Elden Ring. It becomes available in the middle of a run.
Ancient Death Rancor is a death sorcery tied to the Deathbirds, its spirits described as cinders of the ancient death hex raked from the fires of ghostflame. A single cast releases nine homing skulls that chase down foes, and charging the cast raises the damage of every skull, a bonus the Godfrey Icon pushes further. Because its damage is split across many small hits, it lags behind in the early and middle game and improves as the caster's level and staff scaling climb. The Prince of Death's Staff boosts its attack power, making it a fit for death-themed sorcerers and spellblades who want a fire-and-forget homing barrage.
Effect
Summons nine vengeful spirits that home in on foes and deal magic damage; charging increases the damage of each spirit. Each cast costs 21 FP and 27 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Ancient Death Rancor Guide
Dropped by the Death Rite Bird that appears at night in the sunken ruins south of the Gate Town North Site of Grace, east of the Academy of Raya Lucaria in Liurnia of the Lakes.
