The Frozen Armament is a Cold sorcery in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Frozen Armament is a sorcery once used by the old snow witch, the crone who taught the young Ranni to fear the dark moon as she imparted her cold sorcery. It coats the weapon in the right hand with frost for a minute, adding flat frostbite buildup that does not rise with weapon upgrades or Intelligence, and the Old Lord's Talisman stretches the duration. The buff vanishes if the weapon is unequipped, including when the staff is two-handed, and it cannot go on weapons that already carry a magic, holy, fire or lightning damage type. Freezing Grease gives the same buildup and duration at almost no cost, and cold infusions or frost weapon skills usually build more, so the spell is mostly outclassed. It suits spellblades who carry a staff anyway and want frostbite on a physical weapon without spending consumables.
Effect
Enchants the right hand armament with frost for 60 seconds, adding 63 frostbite buildup to its attacks. Each cast costs 20 FP and takes up one memory slot.
