Royal Knight Loretta is a great boss in Elden Ring.
Royal Knight Loretta is the spirit of a Carian knight who guards Caria Manor in northern Liurnia of the Lakes. She waits on a round platform beyond the manor's upper level. Defeating her opens the way to the Three Sisters and Ranni's tower. She fights from horseback with a war sickle and glintstone sorceries.
Lore
Royal Knight Loretta appears as a pale blue spirit riding a spectral horse. She wears the silver armor and blue cape of the royal Carian knights. Her long war sickle carries a blue glintstone.
Loretta served the Carian royal family as a personal guard. The bow was her favored weapon, and she created the Loretta's Greatbow sorcery in its likeness. Her spirit still keeps watch over the manor of the family she once served.

Phases
- Phase 1: Loretta uses sickle swings, leaps and the Glintblade Phalanx.
- Phase 2: below about 80% health she adds the Leap Duo and casts Loretta's Greatbow.
Attacks
- Side Swing and Stab: rolling into horizontal sweeps puts the player at the front or back of the horse for a hit.
- Rearing Swing and Hoof Attack: the horse rears before the blow. A hit during the rear and a roll to the side work well.
- Leap Attack: she jumps in from middle range. A roll in her direction of travel avoids it, and the parry timing is easy to learn.
- Leap Duo: two swings around a jump. Rolling away avoids both.
- Glintstone Phalanx: five glintblades fly in after a short delay. Strafing or a late roll avoids them.
- Loretta's Greatbow: a charged magic arrow. A sideways roll or a spell parry handles it.
Tactics
- Equip the Spelldrake Talisman or take Magic Fortification to soften her sorceries.
- Summon a durable spirit with good magic resistance to draw her away.
- Lure her toward the raised area up the stairs on the left, where the central structure blocks her spells.
- Bait the Leap Attack from middle range, then parry or punish it.
- Use jump attacks and charged heavy attacks to break her low stance.
- Ranged users should keep far back and attack while she casts or repositions.
