The Glintblade Phalanx is a Carian sorcery in Elden Ring.
Glintblade Phalanx is a sorcery of the Carian royal family, bestowed upon the enchanted Carian knights who combined it with their swordsmanship to strike in waves of steel and sorcery. It raises an arch of five glintblades over the caster that wait until an enemy comes close and then fire, and it can be cast while moving. The blades wear down stance and can track invisible enemies such as Black Knife Assassins and invisible Teardrop Scarabs, and they hold their fire while the caster faces away. They break on contact with any surface and are replaced by any other phalanx effect, and the Ash of War of the same name usually outperforms the spell. It suits casters whose weapons cannot take Ashes of War and early spellblades who want automatic support damage.
Effect
Creates an arch of five magic glintblades over the caster that fire at foes who come close; it can be cast while moving. Each cast costs 18 FP and 12 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Glintblade Phalanx Guide
Glintblade Phalanx is sold for 2,500 runes by Sorceress Sellen, Miriel, Pastor of Vows or Preceptor Seluvis once one of them is given the Royal House Scroll. If all three teachers die before any of them receives the scroll, it cannot be bought in that playthrough.
- Travel to the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace in Limgrave.
- Head east up the small hill to the enemy camp where sorcerers stand on top of two ruins.
- Climb the easternmost ruin and take the Royal House Scroll from the body beside the sorcerer.
- Give the Royal House Scroll to Sorceress Sellen, Miriel, Pastor of Vows or Preceptor Seluvis.
- Buy Glintblade Phalanx from that teacher for 2,500 runes.
- If that teacher dies later, give their bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to buy it there for the same price.
