Gurranq's Beast Claw is a Bestial incantation in Elden Ring. It becomes available in the middle of a run.
Gurranq's Beast Claw is a superior incantation taught by Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman, who long ago was a beast so terrifyingly ferocious that his former name meant Death of the Demigods. The caster reaches into the ground to unleash beast claws that rend everything around them with slashing shockwaves after a short wind up. Each enemy is only hit once no matter how many waves pass through it, and its damage per FP is poor compared with other bestial incantations, but it is useful when surrounded. Slash damage works well on lightly armored foes such as Omens yet poorly on armored, scaled or stony enemies like dragons, and the shockwaves can be jumped over. Gurranq and Magnus the Beast Claw use it themselves, and it suits bestial incantation builds that need an answer to being swarmed.
Effect
Reaches into the ground to unleash beast claws that rend the area around the caster with shockwaves. Each cast costs 21 FP and 42 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Gurranq's Beast Claw Guide
Gurranq's Beast Claw is the reward from Gurranq, Beast Clergyman at the Bestial Sanctum for the eighth Deathroot. He turns hostile after the fourth and has to be calmed before the trades continue.
- Collect Deathroot and travel to the Bestial Sanctum in northeastern Caelid.
- Talk to Gurranq, Beast Clergyman and hand over the Deathroot one at a time.
- After the fourth Deathroot, reload the area; Gurranq attacks.
- Wear down his health until he calms, talk to him, then reload so he returns to his spot.
- Keep handing over Deathroot; the eighth earns Gurranq's Beast Claw.
