The Immutable Shield is a Golden Order incantation in Elden Ring. It only becomes available late in a run.
Immutable Shield is one of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists, tied to the law of regression, one of the two concepts that form the basis of their faith. It enchants the shield in the left hand with the light of regression for 30 seconds, greatly raising its negation of all non-physical damage and its resistance to status buildup while guarding. Unlike most enchantments it works on shields of any affinity, including magic, fire and sacred, allowing very high negation against specific damage types, though it does not improve guard boost. The seal must be held in the right hand to cast it on the left-hand shield, and the Old Lord's Talisman extends it. It suits shield users facing elemental bosses and status-heavy enemies.
Effect
Enchants the shield in the left hand for 30 seconds, raising its non-physical damage negation and status resistance when guarding. Each cast costs 15 FP and 10 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Immutable Shield Guide
Immutable Shield is sold by Brother Corhyn for 10,000 runes after Goldmask is told that Radagon is Marika. If Corhyn dies before it appears in his stock, it cannot be bought in that playthrough.
- Reach the Altus Plateau, then talk to Brother Corhyn at the Roundtable Hold and rest so he moves north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace.
- Find Goldmask on the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge and talk to him.
- Tell Corhyn where Goldmask is; after resting, the two travel together.
- Meet the pair near the colosseum in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
- Cast Law of Regression in front of the Radagon statue west of the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace, down the lift.
- Tell Goldmask the secret, then talk to Corhyn.
- Buy Immutable Shield from Corhyn for 10,000 runes.
