The Law of Regression is a Golden Order incantation in Elden Ring. It is found in the Altus Plateau, around the middle of a run.
Law of Regression is one of the key fundamentals of the Golden Order, embodying regression, the pull of meaning by which all things yearn eternally to converge. It cures all negative statuses and their buildup, strips buffs and debuffs from everyone in range, enemies included, and nullifies active sorceries and incantations such as a Lightning Spear in flight. It also reveals mimicry in all its forms, and casting it at the statue of Radagon in Leyndell is a key step in Goldmask's questline, which even low-Intelligence characters can manage with stat-boosting items. Seal requirements do not need to be met to cast it. It suits players following Goldmask and Brother Corhyn, and anyone who wants a full cleanse in a pinch.
Effect
Cures status effects and strips buffs and debuffs from everyone nearby, including enemies, while dispelling active spells. Each cast costs 55 FP and 50 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Law of Regression Guide
Law of Regression is sold for 10,000 runes by Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows once one of them is given the Golden Order Principia. If both die before either receives the prayerbook, it cannot be bought in that playthrough.
- From the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital, go outside and make the way onto the sanctuary roof.
- Re-enter the building through the upper level and reach the chair hanging above the Site of Grace.
- Loot the Golden Order Principia from the corpse seated in the chair.
- Give the Golden Order Principia to Brother Corhyn at the Roundtable Hold or Miriel, Pastor of Vows at the Church of Vows.
- Buy Law of Regression from that teacher for 10,000 runes.
- If that teacher dies later, give their bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to buy it there for the same price.

Build
Casting it takes 37 Intelligence and a Sacred Seal. It fits Golden Order builds, where it is often cast alongside Radagon's Rings of Light, Triple Rings of Light, Litany of Proper Death and Order's Blade.
Notes
- Seal requirements do not need to be met to cast it.
- Needed for the Goldmask quest at the Radagon statue in Leyndell.
- Also removes allies' buffs, so it needs care in co-op.
