A Blast Furnace For The Blacksmith takes the player to the Forge of Obsidia in the Albaneve Summits. The North once built forges there to smelt the hard metals of the mountains. Scavengers now hold the forge, but its bellows are the key part of a Blast Furnace, which the Blacksmith needs for the strongest metals.
Walkthrough
The quest step by step:
- Finish Gathering Wool In The Albaneve Summits, then speak to the Blacksmith.
- Travel to the Forge of Obsidia in the Albaneve Summits. Warm clothing or frost resistance helps on the way up.
- Fight through the Scavengers inside the forge to reach its heart.
- Defeat the enemies there and take the bellows.
- Return to the base and craft a Blast Furnace with the bellows.

Prerequisites
This quest opens after Gathering Wool In The Albaneve Summits, a quest from the Farmer. The Farmer wants a Yak for its wool. The quest first asks for Yak food bait. It then marks a herd near the Quiet Caves, although any Yak tamed with the bait counts. The wool goes into warmer padding kits and armor against the biting winds of the Albaneve Summits. With that done, the Blacksmith turns to the metals of the region, which only melt in the heat of a proper forge.
