Driftwood Wake is a lakeside town in the east of the Veilwater Basin, now held by Scavengers. Its tavern, the Tavern "Ol' Salt 'N Pepper", was run by an old sea captain famous for his tales. When the Cargo Lift closed, one of its workers moved here because the water was still clean. He later met a strange old herbalist in the woods. The Siren Seeker Sandals lie in the lake next to the town. A notice on the tavern's board asks for news of Rolf, a pearl diver who went to Orville and never came back.
