Gateway Outpost "Darkwater" is a fortified outpost in the Veilwater Basin, now held by Scavengers. Its men clung to the outpost's swimming pool as their last scrap of home. One resident heard a low rumble under the water every night. A mad wizard crossed the outpost from the water on his way into the jungle, in search of another tomb. A letter from Athalan, the Hunter, to her brother Talion lies close by. In it, she warns him that Gormander poses no threat and that the wanderer is poisoning their lord's mind. She begs him to abandon his post and burn the letter.
Where to Find Gateway Outpost "Darkwater" - Map Location
The outpost lies west of Ol' Captain's Rest and Driftwood Wake. Winter's Brew Farm is to the north. A Gem Forge stands to the west, entered from the Shroud to its north.
