Gloom Monarch Set

Gloom Monarch Set

Type	Armour set
Class	Melee
Level	23

The Gloom Monarch Set is a looted warrior armour set built for unarmed fighters. It adds a large boost to unarmed melee damage, along with health, mana and melee critical hits. Bosses and chests drop it, mostly in the Kindlewastes.

Pieces

The helmet and gloves both add a large share of unarmed melee damage. The helmet also raises melee critical hits. The chestplate adds a lot of health and some mana. The trousers and boots add stamina and regeneration. The pieces turn bare fists into a real weapon.

How to Get Gloom Monarch Set Guide

The pieces come only from loot. Bosses and random chests drop them, mostly in the Kindlewastes. Each piece drops on its own, so a full set takes many chests and boss fights. A rarer copy takes more upgrades at the Blacksmith. The set suits fighters who use bare fists, since the helmet and gloves raise unarmed melee damage.

Levelling and Upgrades

Every piece starts at item level 20. Each upgrade at the Blacksmith costs Runes and adds one item level and one enhancement, such as extra mana or a level of the Battle Heal skill. The rarity of the copy sets the number of upgrades, from two for uncommon to five for legendary. A legendary copy reaches level 25, and its last steps also cost Legendary Runes.

Lore

Every piece hints at a dark ruler whose name is lost. The boots once belonged to a ruler who faded into oblivion, leaving only a title and a lingering curse. Legends say the gloves belonged to a ruler wiped from the history books. The chestplate is said to have belonged to a fallen warrior whose name stays unspoken. The helmet may have hidden its owner's many scars, and the trousers are covered in dried blood.
