Runes are magical stones in Enshrouded that draw in and store energy from all around them, and they are used to enhance weapons. They also reset skill points at the Flame Altar, which makes them valuable for any build. They drop from Fell enemies and bosses such as the Fell Thunderbrute boss, and they come from chests and dismantled weapons. The Blacksmith combines them into Legendary Runes.

How to Get Runes Guide

Runes drop from Fell enemies, such as Fell Footsoldiers, Fell Knights and Fell Banshees. Fell bosses such as the Fell Thunderbrute and the boss Fell Dragon Youngling drop more. Chests also hold Runes, and salvaging outgrown weapons and armour turns them back into Runes. The craftspeople use Runes to upgrade weapons and armour, one perk at a time. Runes also reset skill points at the Flame Altar. The Blacksmith combines them into Legendary Runes for the last upgrade steps of legendary gear.
