Oswald Anders' Chest is a small mystery in the base. The Blacksmith's equipment chest has gone missing, and one of the survivors took it. The culprit is Cade Hawthorn, the Carpenter, who lost it at his old camp. Digging it up rewards a gold chest's worth of loot.
Walkthrough
The quest step by step:
- Finish Carpentry Assistance, then speak to the Blacksmith.
- Ask the survivors in the base about the chest. The Carpenter admits he took it.
- Travel to the Carpenter's former camp, the Carpentry Camp marked on the map.
- Dig into the ground there until the buried chest appears, then open it.

Prerequisites
This quest follows Carpentry Assistance, which the Alchemist gives after Powerful Alchemy. The Alchemist is convinced that another Ancient Vault holds a survivor who could help with building and storage. The player finds the vault and summons the Carpenter at the base. Once the Carpenter has joined, the Blacksmith remembers a lost equipment chest. Talking to the survivors points the search to the Carpentry Camp in the Low Meadows.
