Shell game stake 10 to 100 gold, double or nothing

The bazaar is the second place to trade equipment and the only place to find some of it. Neither shop is reliably the cheaper: a price here can beat the merchant's or fall well short of it, and the same holds for what you are offered when selling.

What makes it more than a price comparison is the stock. The item tables mark 126 entries as bazaar goods: 53 one-handed and 54 two-handed weapons, and every lightning soul stone in the game. The blacksmith will fit those stones, but no other shop sells them, so a lightning build lives or dies on what this stall happens to be showing.

What is on the stall

Stock is drawn per player. Two knights need not be shown the same goods, so another player's list is no guide to your own. The shelf refreshes every 24 hours, or sooner if everything on it has been bought.

From level 10 the trader will take a bribe to restock early.

Bazaar weapons carry gold prices on some rows and gem prices on others, so gold alone will not clear the stall. Every lightning stone sold here is priced in gold.

Selling by quote

Selling here is not a counter you queue at. You ask for a price on one item you are carrying, and that quote holds for 6 hours. Take it at once, or refuse it, keep the item and ask again once the 6 hours have run out. Either way that single item occupies the stall: nothing else can be sold at the bazaar until the window closes.

There is one way out early. Selling the quoted item to the merchant instead releases the bazaar for the next item straight away. That makes a low quote on something valuable an expensive thing to sit on: the real cost is not the figure offered, it is the six hours of stall time the refusal locks up.

The shell game

A hustler with three hats also works the bazaar. Stake between 10 and 100 gold, choose a hat, and a correct pick returns twice the stake while a wrong one returns nothing.
