The Black marble column, small, takes two blocks of Black Marble. It is the slimmest support in the marble set, a 1x1x1 piece from the supports row of the build menu. Builders use it to carry a floor or an arch across an open room without filling the space with walls, and it keeps the cold grey look of the Dvergr ruins the stone was quarried from.
How to Build It
It costs 2x Black Marble, prised out of Giant Remains and Dvergr ruins in the Mistlands. You can only build it inside the range of a Stonecutter, which is also what lets you repair it later. Marble takes its support the way Stone does, from the ground up through other stonework, so a timber frame underneath will not hold it. Start the columns at the foundation and build upwards.
