The Darkwood pole 4m picks up where the short pole stops: a full length upright of tar-treated timber from the Supports tab, made from four wood and a single measure of tar. One long pole beats two stacked short ones for reaching a high ridge or propping a jetty out over deep water, and it costs no more tar.
How to Build It
It costs four wood and one tar with a workbench in range. Tar is what runs short, not timber, and since the long pole and the short one each take one measure, the long one is the better buy whenever the span allows it. Like the rest of the darkwood set it ignores rain, so it can stand out in the open as a pier leg or an exposed rafter without any cover.
