The Grausten tapered pillar (inverted) is the tapered shaft stood on its point, broad at the head and narrow at the foot. It uses the same five blocks of Grausten over the same one metre footprint. Builders use it as a corbel, flaring out under a floor or a balcony so the overhang has something to sit on instead of ending in mid air.
How to Build It
It costs 5x Grausten and needs a Stonecutter close enough to place it and to repair it. The weight gathers above the narrow end, so put it where that load has somewhere to go, on top of a grounded pillar or against a wall that reaches the earth. Stone support flows upward from the ground, and an inverted taper hung off nothing will not carry the floor you wanted it for.
