Log beam 26° is the shallow twin of the steep rafter, lying at twenty six degrees among the log pieces in the Supports section. One length of Corewood buys a diagonal strong enough to carry a low roof the length of a longhouse, or to prop a lean-to where a level beam would hang in mid air.
How to Build It
It costs a single Corewood, with a Workbench close enough to reach the spot. Corewood is the stiffest timber in the build menu, so a frame of these reaches further out from its posts than the same frame in plain Wood, which is why so many halls are framed in logs and then clad in something prettier. Keep every rafter on the same angle, because a shallow piece set against a steep one leaves a gap no other piece will close.
