Corewood is the straight, heavy wood the pine trees of the Black Forest drop when they fall, alongside normal Wood. It is stiff enough to carry a roof, and it is the reason log cabins look the way they do.
How to Get It
Pines are the tall, bare-trunked conifers that stand above the Black Forest canopy. A Stone Axe is enough to fell one, so you can farm corewood from your very first trip into the biome. Cut the trunk, then chop the fallen log on the ground to break it into corewood. Watch where it lands, because a falling pine does real damage, and the noise draws Greydwarves from some distance. Corewood can be teleported, so you can portal it home in bulk.
