Put on the Lox Cape before you head back into the Mountain. Made from the pelts of the great beasts of the Plains, it halves frost damage and keeps the freezing effect off you as long as you stay dry. It gives 1 armour, or 4 when fully upgraded.
How to Craft
Craft it at a level 2 workbench from:
- 6x Lox Pelt: dropped by Lox in the Plains.
- 2x Silver: smelted from Silver Ore in a Smelter.

When to Use It
This is mid game gear. Lox Pelt drops from Lox in the Plains, the biome after Moder.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. Figures quoted elsewhere are for quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy sits somewhere on:

- Resistant (0.5x) to Frost damage.
Notes
- Every cape gains +1 armour per upgrade level, except the Ashen Cape, which gains +2.
- A cape's armour adds to your head, chest and leg pieces to make up your armour rating.
- A cape's frost resistance only stops Freezing while you are not Wet.
