Wolf Armour, the Silver Sword and the Draugr Fang are all built on bars of Silver, the metal that carries a Viking out of the Swamp and up into the cold. Its materials come from the Mountain.
How to Get It
Silver bars only come from smelting: Silver Ore goes into a Smelter with Coal and comes back out refined. Neither the ore nor the bars will pass through a Portal, so you either haul the ore down the mountain by cart or boat, or drag a smelter and a Charcoal Kiln up to the vein and carry the bars home the slow way anyway.
Notes
- You usually need a Wishbone to find Silver Veins, though now and then one is exposed at the surface.
- You can also find Silver Veins by slamming patches of ground with Stagbreaker. If "Too Hard" pops up under the slam and there are no rocks nearby, there is most likely silver underground.
- Like other metals, it cannot be teleported without a Portal Stone.
- If you dig completely around and underneath a node so it floats, destroying one piece destroys the whole node.
- Crafting one of each base piece of equipment (armor, weapons, tools) in the Mountain tier takes 214 Silver, and fully upgrading them takes another 516 (730 Silver in total). Crafting one of each base piece across all Biomes tiers takes 222 Silver, and fully upgrading them takes another 521 (743 Silver in total).
