Mushrooms are red caps glowing in the gloom under the pines. You pick them off the floor of the Black Forest, and they also turn up in the Meadows and the Swamp.
How to Get It
Just walk up and take them; you need no tool, station or station level. They cluster around rocks, roots and cave mouths, thickest in the Black Forest, and a picked patch regrows on the same spot after about four hours of game time. You cannot plant them, and levelling the ground does not stop them coming back. At fifteen health a raw mushroom is barely worth eating, so put them in a chest instead.
