Axeman's Gauntlets are heavy gauntlets in Common, Master and Magic variants. Every variant gives +2% piercing, +2% bludgeoning and +2% slashing resistance. Armorers in Skellige and Toussaint sell them. The crafted pair arrives in the mid game at level 16.
The Master variant adds 1 random effect and the Magic variants add 2. The crafted Magic variant gives 33-35 armor at level 16, rolled once when the diagram is obtained.

How to Get Axeman's Gauntlets
- Magic (crafted): Get the diagram for sparing Trollololo in the secondary quest The Volunteer, find it at a random diagram location, or buy it from any Skellige armorer or the merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig.
- Common, Master and Magic: Buy them from armorers in Skellige and Toussaint or the same sawmill merchant, or find them as random loot.
Axeman's Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide
Trollololo is the singing troll at White Eagle Fort in Velen. He gives the Axeman's Gauntlets diagram as a reward at the end of The Volunteer if he is spared. The pin marks the quest. The reward also includes the Gven'nel diagram.
- Take the notice from the board in Oxenfurt, or go straight to the singing troll at White Eagle Fort.
- Talk to Trollololo and hear his story.
- Choose to let it slide instead of killing him.
- Buy paint from the merchant in Oxenfurt and bring it to Trollololo.
- Paint the Redanian coat of arms for him, or tell him to paint it himself.
- Collect the reward, the Axeman's Gauntlets diagram among it.
