Capture the Castle is a main quest of Blood and Wine. Geralt and the ducal guard under Captain Damien storm Dun Tynne Castle to find Syanna. The lord of the castle, Roderick, opened his gates to a band of brigands at Syanna's urging. Regis and Dettlaff join the fight. In the keep the truth comes out. Syanna is also Rhena, the missing beloved of Dettlaff, and she sent him the names of the victims herself.
Capture the Castle Map Location and Quest Guide
Capture the Castle map location:
- Meet Damien at Count de la Croix's mill after midnight, and meditate if needed.
- Talk to Damien to begin the assault.
- Fight through the Dun Tynne guards in the courtyard.
- Defeat Roderick and his men.
- Talk to Roderick, then choose to help him or leave him.
- Clear the guards and bandits on the way to the keep.
- Fight on with Regis and Dettlaff at Geralt's side.
- Reach the keep and find Syanna.

Choices
Roderick lies wounded after the fight. Geralt can help him or leave him to his fate. Helping him counts as proof of compassion in There Can Be Only One.

Notes
Dettlaff gives Syanna three days to meet him at Tesham Mutna. Anna Henrietta wants Dettlaff dead instead, which leads to The Night of Long Fangs.
