The Endrega Drone is an Insectoid, the male of the Endrega colony. Drones roam the forests, including the forests of Skellige.
Lore
Drones are greedy creatures with a simple purpose in life: to eat, to fight and to breed. A herbalist once joked that calling a lazy man a drone insults the Endrega drone, which at least gets up to fight.
A drone lives a short life. It spends most of it guarding the colony's territory. Weaker drones die in these fights, while the largest and strongest survive. In autumn the survivors fertilize the queen, so their traits pass on to the next generation. After that the colony kills them, and their bodies feed the hive through the long winter.
Drones are easy to tell apart from other Endregas. They have a cone-shaped abdomen.
Behaviour
Inside the nest, drones guard the colony. Once they venture outside, they turn into aggressive hunters and attack every creature they come across. They chase their prey relentlessly.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Insectoid Oil, which does them great harm. Bleeding has no effect on any Endrega.
Unlike other Endregas, drones attack from a distance. They fire volleys of poisoned quills from the abdomen, so drink Golden Oriole before the fight. Yrden helps hold back a drone that keeps chasing.

Endrega Drones guard the loot in Hidden in the Depths, a level 31 treasure hunt on Faroe in Skellige. A crumpled, stained letter by a cave near the beach southwest of Harviken starts the hunt. The letter points to treasure hidden in an underwater cave. Drones, an Endrega Worker and a Venomous Arachas wait inside.
