The Venomous Arachas is an Insectoid and a deadlier kind of Arachas. Every arachas is highly venomous, but this breed makes an especially strong poison.
Lore
The last words of an unknown hunter say it all: barely nicked me, I'll be fine.
A few drops of this venom are enough to kill a grown man. A witcher is the exception, because a witcher's mutations can neutralize small doses. Large doses kill anything they touch. In a witcher, the mutations only drag out a slow and painful death.
Behaviour
A venomous arachas makes huge amounts of this poison and uses it in many ways during a fight. Before striking, it coats its pincers and teeth with a thick layer of the deadly liquid. It then squirts venom at its enemy to weaken it. Once the fight is up close, it keeps spraying the poison all around itself. Every breath brings its victim closer to death. Like other arachasae, it uses grasping feelers to seize its prey and hold it still.
Weaknesses
Drink Golden Oriole before the fight, because it lowers the body's weakness to poison. Coat the silver sword with Insectoid Oil.
Start the fight from a safe distance. Weaken the arachas with the crossbow or with bombs. Then move in and finish it off with the silver sword.
