Enhanced Griffin Gauntlets are the Enhanced tier of the Griffin School gauntlets, medium witcher armor from the base game. They give 41 armor at level 18, with +6% sign intensity. The diagram lies just south of Frischlow in Velen, guarded by a noonwraith. They are mid-game gauntlets.

They also give +2% piercing, +3% slashing, +2% monster and +6% elemental resistance. Compared with the basic Griffin Gauntlets, they add 14 armor and raise sign intensity from +5% to +6%. The sign bonus suits a signs build.

Upgrading from the basic tier keeps their glyphs.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 11, Enhanced at 18, Superior at 26, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The set bonuses come with the Grandmaster tier. 3 pieces: after a sign cast with stamina, the next sign within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside them stamina regen rises by 5/s, sign intensity by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

How to Get Enhanced Griffin Gauntlets

  • Follow Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 2.
  • Go just south of Frischlow and deal with the noonwraith that guards the spot.
  • Take the diagram next to the guarded treasure.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them from the basic Griffin Gauntlets.

Enhanced Griffin Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide

The Enhanced Griffin Gauntlets diagram lies in a small cave by the cemetery in the south of Frischlow, a village in Velen overrun by wraiths, where a noonwraith guards the treasure. The pin marks the diagram spot, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 2.

  1. Buy Edwin Greloff's Second Map from the armorer in Midcopse. It starts Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 2 and marks every diagram spot.
  2. Go to Frischlow and kill the wraiths in the village.
  3. Head to the cemetery in the south of the village and kill the noonwraith that appears.
  4. Clear the way into the small cave with Aard.
  5. Loot the chests inside. One of them holds the Enhanced Griffin Gauntlets diagram.
