Grandmaster armorer

Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Trousers are the best witcher trousers in the game. It is a pair of medium witcher trousers that came free to the base game. It is the Grandmaster variant of the forgotten Wolven Trousers. It gives 92 armor and +12% sign intensity at level 40. Its diagram is earned in Kaer Morhen. These trousers arrive late in the game.

The trousers also give +8% slashing, +10% monster and +25% elemental resistance. Their sign intensity, the Yrden intensity on the boots and a 6-piece bonus that makes Aard hit harder inside Yrden suit a signs build. The 3-piece bonus makes potions last longer. Medium armor balances protection and stamina regeneration.

Set Bonus

The Forgotten Wolven set is medium armor with 3 tiers: Standard at level 20, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. 3 pieces: potions last 7% longer per set piece. 6 pieces: Aard deals extra damage to enemies affected by Yrden.

How to Get Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Trousers

  • During Scavenger Hunt: Forgotten Wolf School Gear Diagrams, read Osmund's notes and Vesemir's note on the bookshelf platform inside the Kaer Morhen keep.
  • Complete the hunt to receive this diagram with the set's other Mastercrafted and Grandmaster diagrams.
  • A grandmaster armorer crafts them from Mastercrafted Forgotten Wolven Trousers. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this armorer.

Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Trousers Map Location and Quest Guide

The Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Trousers diagram unlocks when Geralt reads Osmund's notes and Vesemir's note on a bookshelf platform inside the Kaer Morhen keep, during Scavenger Hunt: Forgotten Wolf School Gear Diagrams. The pin marks the quest, which begins when In the Eternal Fire's Shadow ends. Reading both notes unlocks every mastercrafted and grandmaster diagram of the set.

  1. Finish In the Eternal Fire's Shadow to start the hunt.
  2. Travel to Kaer Morhen and enter the main hall of the keep.
  3. Find the bookshelves on the left side of the hall and climb the ladder to the upper platform.
  4. Use Witcher Senses to find Osmund's notes and Vesemir's note on the bookshelf at the far end of the platform.
  5. Read both notes to unlock the Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Trousers diagram.
