Grandmaster Griffin Gauntlets are medium witcher gauntlets from Blood and Wine. They are the Grandmaster variant of the Griffin Gauntlets. They give 87 armor and +11% sign intensity at level 40. The diagram is in a crate under the stairs at Fort Ussar Ruins, found during Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear. These gauntlets are a late-game Toussaint find.
They also give +5% piercing, +6% slashing, +4% monster and +12% elemental resistance. The set bonuses give free follow-up Signs and a stronger Yrden trap. Together with the sign intensity, they suit a signs build.
Set Bonus
The Griffin set is medium armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 11, Enhanced at 18, Superior at 26, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. 3 pieces: after a Sign cast in standard mode with stamina, the next Sign cast within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger. Inside the trap, stamina regeneration rises by 5/s, sign intensity rises by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

- Start the level 40 Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear in Toussaint.
- At Fort Ussar Ruins, open the crate under the stairs. The gauntlets diagram lies with the steel sword and boots diagrams.
- A grandmaster craftsman crafts them from Mastercrafted Griffin Gauntlets. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this craftsman.
Grandmaster Griffin Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide
The Grandmaster Griffin Gauntlets diagram sits in a crate under the stairs on the east side of the Fort Ussar Ruins in Toussaint, with the steel sword and boots diagrams. The pin marks the crate, the first stop of Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear.
- Speak to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Beauclair, and ask about the Griffin gear to start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear.
- Go to the Fort Ussar Ruins. Kill the slyzard and its mother that guard the area.
- Head to the stairs on the east side of the ruins.
- Loot the half hidden crate under the stairs. The gauntlets diagram is inside, with the steel sword and boots diagrams and Captain Augustus Fierabras' report.
