Grandmaster Legendary Ursine Boots are the NG+ variant of Grandmaster Ursine Boots, heavy Bear School witcher gear from Blood and Wine. They give 93 armor and +17% adrenaline gain at level 41. Their diagram is in the Owl Eye Grottos in Toussaint. They need the NG+ starting level plus 40 and belong to the late game.
They also give +8% piercing, +10% bludgeoning, +8% slashing and +6% monster resistance. Their armor rises by 2 per level. Against the regular Grandmaster boots, they raise adrenaline gain from 11% to 17% and bludgeoning resistance from 5% to 10%.
The adrenaline gain suits an adrenaline build, and the Ursine set bonuses suit a Quen tank.
Set Bonus
The Ursine set is heavy armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 20, Enhanced at 25, Superior at 30, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The 3-piece and 6-piece bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a school set. 3 pieces: when a Quen shield breaks, a new one may be cast at no stamina cost, with a 5% chance per set piece worn. 6 pieces: damage dealt by abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%.
How to Get Grandmaster Legendary Ursine Boots
- In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Ursine Gear.
- Go deep into the Owl Eye Grottos and loot the skeleton there. It holds the boots, trousers and steel sword diagrams.
- A grandmaster craftsman crafts them. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this craftsman.

The Grandmaster Legendary Ursine Boots diagram lies on the remains of the Bear witcher Junod of Belhaven, deep in the Owl Eye Grottos in Toussaint, during Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Ursine Gear. The pin marks the diagram spot, where the trousers and steel sword diagrams lie as well. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Grandmaster Ursine Boots diagram and lies at the same spot.
- Talk to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Toussaint, and ask him about the Ursine gear to start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Ursine Gear.
- Go to the collapsed house between Flovive and the Tufo Vineyard, and clear the rubble in the backyard with Aard.
- Loot the chest in the cavern below and read the owner's notes. They point to the Owl Eye Grottos.
- Drop down through the cave entrance at the Owl Eye Grottos and kill the giant centipede that attacks.
- Blast the rock wall with Aard and read the warning Junod left behind.
- Follow the symbols on the cave walls until another river comes into view.
- Kill the second giant centipede and drop down the ledge into the small area beyond.
- Loot the witcher's remains for the Grandmaster Legendary Ursine Boots diagram.
