Legendary Manticore Armor is the NG+ variant of Manticore Armor, medium witcher gear from Blood and Wine. It gives 245 armor at level 41, with +30% crit damage and +5 maximum toxicity. Its diagram is in a cave southeast of Gélenser Farm and southwest of Termes Palace Ruins in Toussaint. It is a late-game chest at level 40 above the NG+ starting level.

It also gives +26% piercing, +33% slashing and +30% monster resistance. Its armor rises by 5 per level. Against the regular Manticore Armor, it raises crit damage from 25% to 30%, piercing resistance from 19% to 26% and slashing resistance from 24% to 33%.

The maximum toxicity and the set bonuses suit an alchemy and bombs build.

Set Bonus

The Manticore set is medium armor from Blood and Wine. It has one tier, Grandmaster at level 40, plus an NG+ legendary variant. 3 pieces: crit chance and crit damage also apply to bombs, and bombs are thrown with no delay. 6 pieces: each alchemy item gets 1 extra charge.

How to Get Legendary Manticore Armor

  • In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear in Toussaint.
  • Go to the cave southeast of Gélenser Farm and southwest of Termes Palace Ruins, and take the diagram from Merten's prayer.
  • A grandmaster craftsman crafts it. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this craftsman.

Legendary Manticore Armor Map Location and Quest Guide

Merten's Prayer, on the far wall of Lebioda's cave southeast of Gélenser Farm in Toussaint, gives Geralt the Legendary Manticore Armor diagram. The pin marks the cave, the second stop of Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Manticore Armor diagram and lies at the same spot.

  1. Speak to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Beauclair, and ask about the Manticore gear to start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear.
  2. Go to the Bastoy Prison Ruins and climb the standing tower to the room at the top. Loot the loose brick in the wall for the steel sword diagram and read the prisoner's notes.
  3. Go to Lebioda's cave southeast of Gélenser Farm and kill the panther at the entrance.
  4. Inside, check the prayer notes on the far wall of the large cavern until you find Merten's Prayer.
  5. Read Merten's Prayer to get the Legendary Manticore Armor diagram.
