Journeyman armorer

Superior Legendary Ursine Gauntlets are the NG+ variant of Superior Ursine Gauntlets, heavy Bear School witcher gear. They give 67 armor and +13% adrenaline gain at level 31. Their diagram is in the monster den northwest of Hanged Man's Tree in Velen. They need level 30 over the NG+ starting level.

They also give +7% piercing, +7% slashing, +5% monster and +8% elemental resistance. Their armor rises by 2 per level. Against the regular Superior gauntlets, they raise adrenaline gain from 8% to 13% and elemental resistance from 4% to 8%.

Set Bonus

The Ursine set is heavy armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 20, Enhanced at 25, Superior at 30, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The 3-piece and 6-piece bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a school set. 3 pieces: when a Quen shield breaks, a new one may be cast at no stamina cost, with a 5% chance per set piece worn. 6 pieces: damage dealt by abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%.

How to Get Superior Legendary Ursine Gauntlets

  • In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  • Loot the diagram from the monster den northwest of Hanged Man's Tree, with the armor, trousers and boots diagrams.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them.

Superior Legendary Ursine Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide

The Superior Legendary Ursine Gauntlets diagram sits in a chest in a small alcove of the cave northwest of the Hanged Man's Tree in Velen, the trolls' cave from A Deadly Plot. The pin marks the chest, which also holds the armor, boots and trousers diagrams of Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3. In New Game +, this legendary diagram replaces the standard one at the same spot.

  1. Buy Ibrahim Savi's third map from the armorer at Kaer Trolde to start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  2. Go to the cave northwest of the Hanged Man's Tree.
  3. Kill the nekkers and the nekker warrior outside the entrance, unless A Deadly Plot is active.
  4. Enter the cave and follow the main path as it curves.
  5. Loot the chest in the small alcove on the left for the Superior Legendary Ursine Gauntlets diagram.
