Journeyman armorer

Superior Ursine Boots are heavy witcher boots from the base game. They are the third tier of the Bear School boots. They give 69 armor and +8% adrenaline gain at level 30. Their diagram is in a monster den northwest of Hanged Man's Tree in Velen. They are a late-game find.

They give +8% adrenaline gain, +4% piercing, +4% bludgeoning, +4% slashing and +3% monster resistance. The adrenaline gain suits an adrenaline build.

Set Bonus

The Ursine set is heavy armor with 5 tiers. 3 pieces: when a Quen shield breaks, a new one may cast at no stamina cost, with the chance rising by 5% per set piece. 6 pieces: damage from abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%. These bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a set.

How to Get Superior Ursine Boots

  • Play Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  • Clear the monster den northwest of Hanged Man's Tree. The diagram lies there with the armor, gauntlets and trousers diagrams.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them from Enhanced Ursine Boots.

Superior Ursine Boots Map Location and Quest Guide

The Superior Ursine Boots diagram sits in a chest in a small alcove of the cave northwest of the Hanged Man's Tree in Velen, the trolls' cave from A Deadly Plot. The pin marks the chest, which also holds the armor, gauntlets and trousers diagrams of Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.

  1. Buy Ibrahim Savi's third map from the armorer at Kaer Trolde to start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  2. Go to the cave northwest of the Hanged Man's Tree.
  3. Kill the nekkers and the nekker warrior outside the entrance, unless A Deadly Plot is active.
  4. Enter the cave and follow the main path as it curves.
  5. Loot the chest in the small alcove on the left for the Superior Ursine Boots diagram.
