Wraith Decoction is a decoction that raises a Quen shield whenever a single hit drains more than a third of Vitality. One brew holds 1 charge, a dose lasts 30 minutes, and it adds 50 Toxicity. It is brewed from the mutagen of a Wraith.
The shield protects against the next attack after that heavy blow. Quen absorbs a limited amount of damage, and its strength scales with Sign intensity.
Wraith
The Wraith is a Specter, a spirit that stays in the world after its body dies. Specter Oil works well against it, and so do the Yrden and Quen Signs and Moon Dust bombs.
How to Get Wraith Decoction
- Liberate an abandoned site in White Orchard or Velen, then buy the formula from the herbalist there. It also turns up as random loot.
- Brew it from the alchemy menu, outside combat, with 1 Dwarven Spirit, 1 Wraith Mutagen, 1 Blowball and 1 Nostrix.
- Meditate with strong alcohol such as Dwarven Spirit, Alcohest or White Gull in the inventory to refill its charge.
