EBM Petrochem Stadium

EBM Petrochem Stadium
Type Defunct stadium
Region Dogtown
DLC Phantom Liberty

The EBM Petrochem Stadium is an unfinished sports arena in Dogtown. Kurt Hansen's Barghest turned it into the largest black market on the West Coast. Its traders serve not only the people of Dogtown but also some of the biggest corporations and most powerful people in Night City, off the books. Its name comes from its planned sponsors, Euro Business Machines and Petrochem.

History

The Crown Jewel

The stadium was meant to be the crowning jewel of the new resort city of Pacifica. Several companies helped build it, Petrochem among them. It was to be the home of the Night City Nighthawks, and a statue of the team was made for its main hall. The team was disbanded before the arena could open. The Corsairs were chosen to replace them, and their name is still painted in blue on the upper stands. The building was then left unfinished when the Unification War broke out.

Hansen's Market

After the war, the stadium fell inside the walls of Dogtown. Hansen had a large cargo aerozep shot down, and it crashed into the arena and wrecked part of it. Its nuclear engine now powers the stadium and several buildings around it, so Dogtown does not depend on outside suppliers.

Hansen made the stadium the home of Dogtown's black market, a place for the gun trade and other shady deals. It became very profitable, and the powers of Night City chose to leave Dogtown and its ruler alone. Over the years the market became the beating heart of Dogtown, full of rare goods sold without tax.

Inside EBM Petrochem Stadium

The Market

A statue of the Nighthawks greets visitors at the main hall. Inside, the stands and halls are packed with stalls, and the market trades in almost anything. There is no NCPD and no corporate law here, only Barghest. The market has a ripperdoc, a netrunner, a bar, food stalls and vendors of weapons, clothes, meds and junk. Herold Lowe sells rare goods that were missed elsewhere in Dogtown.

Around the Stadium

A large car park north of the stadium, in Coastview, holds one of the gates into Dogtown, and Barghest patrols it heavily. A metro station stands to the west. A parking garage under the stadium is still used by smugglers to move goods in and out of Dogtown.

Jobs

Moving Seat ends in the parking garage under the stadium, where the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon can be taken.
